Apple is the company's technology opens the way to a more sustainable green internet, according to a new report from Greenpeace.
The California-based company was the first to use renewable energy to 100 percent to power the iCloud, and operates the largest private U.S. to its data center in North Carolina also solar installation.
Greenpeace assessed the energy choices of the 19 largest Internet companies for its own clicking report , surveying their electricity supply more than 300 data centers channels.
The report concluded that Apple was " the most innovative and most aggressive " to reach the goal of 100 percent renewable energy, and stated that the company had " helped define a new bar for the industry " .
